Master Kaz
Master Kaz started training in various forms of kickboxing, Tae Kwon Do, and Kung Fu at the age of ten. He had won three amateur kickboxing titles by the time he was sixteen. At the age of eighteen, he went into professional kickboxing, going on to defeat every opponent in his weight class and take home titles from the Northeastern Kickboxing Championship and Michigan. At the age of twenty, he entered the professional boxing ring without any prior amateur experience, and he went on to win three fights at the Palace. After 40 fights and 160 demonstration matches, he went undefeated in professional kickboxing and founded Family Karate in 1990. In addition, he studied Judo, Aikido, and Kenpo Ninja. He earned a second-degree black belt and a tenth-degree black belt in Aikido and Kenpo, and a 1st-degree black belt in Jujitsu and Judo.
With a 10th-degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do, he is the youngest Grand Master in the world. In 2015, he was chosen as the instructor of the year. Master Kaz teaches all of our classes here at Gracie Jiu Jitsu Shelby, including Family Karate, Kickboxing, Gracie Bullyproof, Gracie Combatives, as well as private lessons. He is also the instructor to provide students with their Gracie University login, a free resource we let our students utilize.
